Our pub’ (or ‘Ons Cafe’ in Dutch) is a short documentary about a local pub in the north of the Netherlands. I had the honor to make the artwork, illustrations and handmade typography, for the movie poster and searched for the best way to tell the story. Of course, the location had to be absolutely right but I also wanted to grasp the atmosphere of the area. You can spot the owner of the cafe and some details like the black cat that’s always in or around the pub and the big amount of birds in the sky. To complete the merchandise, the poster was also printed on coasters and was even used in the cafe itself.
